Christina Baird

Regional Property Manager

Christina Baird joined Wingate in July 2026 as a Regional Property Manager, bringing 20 years of experience in multifamily and affordable housing management. Throughout her career, she has held progressively advanced leadership roles across market-rate, LIHTC, Section 8, affordable housing, and HUD communities, building extensive expertise in operations, property performance, resident relations, and team leadership.

In her current role, Christina oversees a portfolio of four properties totaling 1,009 units throughout Virginia. She is responsible for supporting site teams, driving operational performance, overseeing financial and compliance objectives, and ensuring the long-term success of her communities. Her diverse background across multiple housing programs provides a well-rounded perspective on both day-to-day operations and strategic portfolio management. 

Prior to joining Wingate, Christina served in a variety of leadership positions with Franklin Group, advancing from Assistant Manager to Regional Manager while overseeing 11 communities totaling 1,270 units. Her previous experience also includes management roles with Kettler Management, Waverton Associates, and SL Nusbaum. Throughout her career, she has successfully managed lease-ups, repositioning efforts, and large-scale rehabilitation projects, including the recovery and rebranding of a 300-unit community impacted by Hurricane Matthew and a major rehabilitation initiative spanning ten properties from 2023 through 2026.
